Job Description:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our client's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring the stability and security of our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design, plan, and implement robust and scalable network architectures.
• Configure and deploy network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
• Conduct network capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal network performance.

Network Maintenance and Support:

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Respond to network-related incidents, diagnose problems, and resolve connectivity or performance issues promptly.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and data protection.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Ability to design and interpret network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate reports on network performance, security, and incidents for management and stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements and provide technical expertise for projects.
• Communicate network-related updates, changes, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive hands-on experience working with Cisco networking technologies and platforms (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, etc.).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower), and other Cisco devices.
• Solid understanding of Cisco networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
• Knowledge of Cisco security solutions such as Cisco ASA, Firepower, ISE, and experience implementing security measures.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
• Firewall experience is a plus.
