Job Description:
Senior Implementation Engineer is responsible for providing enterprise-level assistance to customers. Systems support engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs.
The other responsibilities of a systems support engineer include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction and identify all customer issues and recommend appropriate resolution for same.
- Install all hardware on systems provide required upgrades and manage all change orders and provide technical expertise for all manual product processes.
- Determine required algorithms for all automate systems and provide technical support to all production systems and prepare an efficient schedule for same.
- Provide product support to all systems and manage all requests for systems and assist to resolve all issues and perform regular troubleshoot on all network issues and analyse all system logs.
- Install all internal resources and analyse all software to ensure smooth working.
- Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files, and prepare reports.
- Ensure installations are compliant with approved specification, current shop drawings and current space management drawings.
- Resolve site co-ordination problems with contractors.
- Advise coordinator and assistant director of technical problems concerned with installation, modification, and repair of technical assignments.
- Recommend procedure revisions when necessary to fully utilize assigned personnel and equipment.
- Determine procedures for maintenance, installation, modification, and repair of ELV assignments.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and ELV assignments.
- Provide proactive feedback to Project manager where potential design impacts could result from proposed site determined decisions.
- Enforce installation quality control in accordance with specifications.
- Arrange mock-up locations and details. Assisting in inspections with the system engineer and obtaining agreement with all interested parties.
- Lead the commissioning activities of all the ELV equipment and installations on site.
- Complete ELV site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork
- Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by electricians on site
- Maintain all functional documents and respond to all customer requests and manage efficient operation of all internal systems.
- Provide support to all help desk operations and manage all products according to customer requirements and provide support to all internal and external customers.
- Assist all engineers in technical operations and ensure utilization of all tools efficiently and prepare all required repair documents and ensure compliant to all organization guidelines.
- Prepare reports for all repair activities and prepare require equipment proposals.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience as an ELV Implementation Engineer.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues and installations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
- Additional certifications in ELV and Security Systems (BOSCH, Dahua, HIKVISION, Gemt, LG, etc.)
